The six avian kingdoms are refered to as the six districts: North, East, South, West, Midwest and Arctic. Long ago the avian continient did not used to be split into kingdoms, as there are so many species of avians that very few shared any simularities, and no concept of borders. Not even their spoken languages were shared, with clans and areas haveing distinct local languages and dialects. the only simularity shared was the now extict Avian Merchant tounge which is similar to the huma and elvish merchant tounges only sounding more similar to IRL old english (think Beowulf).
However, centeries worth of brutal elvish colonisation has erased many of the original avian languages due to the forcing of elvish languages and customs. This has caused not only loss of many native avian culture but a huge resenment of elves throughout the entire continent, even in more recent years. This also caused the creation of the then six kingdoms
